A place might be a great place to live and might be beautiful, but the truth is, it is the people, its locals are the ones that make a place. I am fortunate enough to make friends with great local people, interact with really nice strangers who are really helpful and welcoming. Just right now, I got a message from a new friend to stock up on food for at least a day since a typhoon is coming. The city just gave us a warning . All business will be closed this afternoon. And two nights ago, a neighbour brought me some vegetables. She said they came from her small garden in the Mainland. And when you see someone you know whom you know and have never seen in three years, and that person tells you how much you were missed, that's definitely a plus. I have to be in a place where I am treated best and respected. Where they light up when they see you. Not in a place where it feels like you're an inconvenience just for talking to them or chatting them online with no response at all even if it's very important. And if I get a response, it would take days or maybe even no response at all.
